Frigo Adamson Legal Group comprises a tight-knit team of highly skilled professionals ready to serve. Our firm is an exciting partnership for Ron Frigo and Michael Adamson, who met in year one at a primary school on the Gold Coast and have been friends ever since. Ron and Michael are both passionate about the practice of law, and helping clients.

Ronald Frigo graduated in law with honours. In 1998 he was admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Over the period 1998 to January 2018, almost 20 years, he practised at the Queensland private bar appearing in all courts and tribunals, including trial and appellate jurisdictions which sit in Queensland.

He specialises in litigation, across the commercial, civil and criminal jurisdictions, within his areas of practice, and has built an established mediation practice. He has advised and appeared for and against Commonwealth, State and Local Governments. He has acted as the barrister for litigants in high profile cases, including cases of special interest and public importance.

As a director/owner of Frigo Adamson Legal Group he now enjoys a broad legal practice as a solicitor which includes work in Brisbane and regional areas, including the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales. He has worked with and against some of the most prominent and respected legal minds in this State, including pre-eminent Queens Counsel and now serving judges of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Federal Court.

Michael John Adamson, LLB (Hons)

Michael is an honours graduate from Bond University Law School in Queensland, Australia, graduating on 6 February 1993.

He is an accredited specialist in Property Law with the Queensland Law Society. He is a former Adjunct Teaching Fellow at Bond University Law School and taught the following subject areas: Land Law, Property Law, Corporations Law, Securities, Conveyancing and Legal Drafting.

Michael has worked in private practice with Adamsons Solicitor, and in the course of private practice has acted for many different types of clients, including individuals, companies, small-medium enterprise, property developers, Australian banks and other financial institutions preparing, executing and enforcing contractual agreements and securities.

Andrew James Frigo

Andrew emigrated to Australia from Wales with his parents and two brothers in 1982.

He completed his schooling on the north side of Brisbane, and has since gone on to spend the majority of his adult life working within both the justice system and the legal profession.

Andrew initially worked as a clerk in the Magistrates Court at Redcliffe.

He later joined the Queensland Police Service, following which he was transferred to the Gold Coast.  Whilst stationed on the Gold Coast, Andrew worked both in uniform and the Criminal Investigation Branch.  During this time, he was awarded his Detective’s classification by the Qld Police Service.  He went on to take up country positions at Mornington Island and later Cambooya.  He resigned after 12 years’ service to pursue a career in law.

Andrew completed his law degree at Bond University, where he was awarded First Class Honours.

He was first called to the Private Bar in September 2004, and went on to practice as a barrister for almost 15 years.  During that time, Andrew was both a member of Atkin Chambers, Brisbane and Inns of Court Gold Coast, and practiced primarily in family law as well as commercial litigation.

He has appeared in various State and Federal jurisdictions, including:

  • The Qld Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT);
  • The Queensland, New South Wales, and Victorian Magistrates (Local) Courts;
  • The Queensland and New South Wales District and Supreme Courts;
  • The Queensland Court of Appeal; and
  • The Family and Federal Circuit Courts of Australia.

Whilst practising on the Gold Coast, Andrew has served on the committee of the Gold Coast Bar Association.

He currently resides on the Gold Coast with his wife and two children.

Outside of the legal profession, Andrew has a keen interest in photography.

As the firm Secretary, Gloria is committed to achieving the best practice standards for the practice whilst ensuring clients’ experience is exceptional. She has more than 25 years of commercial experience in high paced, demanding office environments. Her experience includes all major office administrative and support functions including acting as a key liaison between senior management, colleagues and clients. She is adept at multi-tasking with a nothing is too hard attitude.

With an overseas Bachelor Degree in Law and over 5 years’ experience working in the legal industry, Nicole is a paralegal who is extremely keen to learn and constantly develop her skills. She has worked with the Director of Public Prosecutions in Brazil for more than 3 years and her experience includes all legal and administrative support functions.
With high proficiency in computer skills as well as an eye for detail, she is always prepared to assist clients and colleagues efficiently. She is a determined person who is truly passionate about the law and her work.

Senior Conveyancer – Qld and NSW

Sharon has extensive experience in the legal industry working as a conveyancing paralegal for over 28 years in both Queensland and New South Wales.  She has an in-depth knowledge of the process of conveyancing and is cognisant of the importance of keeping clients up to date with the progress of their transaction from execution of contract to settlement. Sharon has been working on the Gold Coast for 23 years and is experienced in both cottage and development conveyancing and has a love for conveyancing.  Sharon’s aim is to make the client feel at ease and is available at all times to discuss the transaction and offer sound advice. Her vast experience in conveyancing makes the conveyancing process seamless and stress-free.

These include a large Chartered Accounting practice, a large public company, a government department and a small property development company. As accountant/bookkeeper, she is keen to ensure efficient and accurate record keeping at the firm.
